Loose Valley WI meet on the first Wednesday of each month at the Parish Pavilion and Kettle Bridge Concertinas were invited to come along to the March 2024 meeting to play a programme of mostly singalong tunes.

The WI members had started their meeting with ’Jerusalem’, a tradition at every meeting and so they had warmed up nicely by the time we accompanied them on Edelweiss, Moon River, You are my Sunshine and many more.

Sue gave an introduction, with a history of the band and how it had grown out of the Kettle Bridge Clogs’ morris dancing side. This was followed by Sue explaining all about the concertina.

Afterwards, we stayed for refreshments and thanked the WI for their hospitality and great singing!
