St. Luke's Church in Foley Street, Maidstone has an active "60s+" group that meets every Tuesday morning during term time and, on 6th February, Kettle Bridge Concertinas made a guest appearance to host a singalong.

Before we set up, we joined the seated Pilates session which was a good warm up for us. Maybe we should implement a few routine stretches before every performance!

Sue introduced the 60s+ group to the concertina, including a brief history and mentioning that it was actually World Concertina Day. Val and Margaret ably assisted and encouraged the singing and the group proved to be in great voice. They sang such songs as Edelweiss, Moon River, Do Re Me and Oom Pah Pah with great enthusiasm and gusto.

The performers were invited for lunch, a very kind offer from the 60s+ group, and this completed a most enjoyable session for Kettle Bridge Concertinas. A massive "thank you" goes to the 60s+ group who gave us a really warm welcome.
