Concertina group based in Maidstone, Kent, UK
We were made very welcome by the residents at Friars Court, warming us up on a very cold day with tea and coffee as we arrived. Carol sheets were distributed and we played a programme of Christmas carols and tunes accompanied by a good volume of voices. Thanks to Carol for calling out the numbers and organising the verses! And she was singing and playing at the same time!
We enjoyed demonstrating our range of concertinas, from piccolo to bass, and members of the band were fascinated by John's very pretty half size treble, which he had brought to show!
The afternoon was rounded off with more tea and coffee – and cake! - which set us up to brave the cold winds outside.
A return visit was requested!
