Kettle Bridge Concertinas were delighted to welcome Ciara Considine for a second workshop.

She began with some warming up exercises such as scale passages, playing differing rhythms and playing by ear.

We had selected two pieces to concentrate on during the morning - Concert Overture by Francis Clifford and Bristol March by Claire Wren; both pieces presented various challenges to the band but focusing on individual sections with guidance from Ciara made a huge difference to the end result.

Thanks to Val and her team of bakers the band was able to enjoy a much needed coffee break with cake!

Feedback after the workshop was very positive with band members agreeing that it was enjoyable, worthwhile and that everyone can benefit from such an event, whatever their ability and level of playing. So a big "thank you" goes to Ciara for all her help and KBC looks forward to another session in the not so distant future!
