We made a return visit to St. Luke's Church in Foley Street, Maidstone, to provide a singalong for the over 60s group. They were in fine voice and it was a pleasure for Kettle Bridge Concertinas to play there. Our first visit to the church was earlier this year and the same warm welcome was given to us from the St. Luke’s community.

We played a mix of band music such as Purcell’s Trumpet Tune, Jungle Book and Moonlight Serenade together with tunes for a singalong. We provided the lyrics in a songbook and songs included some old favourites — Moon River, Oom Pah Pah, and Over the Rainbow plus some "new" tunes — Que Sera Sera and Lambeth Walk.

At the end, the St. Luke's group generously invited the performers to share lunch, which was a lovely way to finish a thoroughly enjoyable session.
