Following on from last year's appearance at the December East Farleigh Farmers' Market, we were invited back again for 2016 to provide background music for the shoppers.

Last year, we were inside the main hall but this time we were positioned just outside. It was a chilly morning but the sun was out in a cloudless sky and promised to provide more warmth as the morning wore on. A brave bunch of 10 members turned out to play although John was unfortunately delayed by a traffic jam caused by an accident.

We started playing at 9:45am although the market did not officially open until 10:00am so that the stallholders had a musical accompaniment as they set up. By 10:30, it was time for a break and a warming cup of coffee kindly provided by the organisers. After a quick look round the market and the purchase of some of the lovely food for lunch, we continued playing.

There was a steady flow of customers and several stopped to listen to our music. By this time, the sun was high enough in the sky to give some very welcome warmth.

We continued playing until 12:30pm with one short break for refreshment and then it was time to pack up and head home for lunch.
